I am a children's writer from Fremont, Nebraska. I am the author of Effie's Image, a book that honors school volunteers and celebrates the wisdom that aging brings to each of us. I am also the author of The Flower Girl, The Ring Bear: A Flip-Over Book, a book that has been described as the perfect gift for the youngest members of the wedding bridal party. On this site, you will find information about my books, my author visits, as well as tips for writing with children and getting your own work published.
As you visit my site, you will notice that my books have been honored by both the Nebraska Golden Sower program and the Nebraska Library Commission's Center for the Book Award Program. Because I am so proud of the "company my books are keeping", I have established a store that features not only my books, but other winners and honor books of these two prestigious award programs. I am so excited! I just found out that I have been selected to receive the Metropolitan Reading Council's Friend of Reading Award at their Leadership Night Celebration. I am truly humbled by this honor! Thanks to all the great teachers who I have worked with through the years that have made this award possible!
