Novel Retreat in 3 Acts

Novel Secrets: A Novel Retreat in 3 Acts
Have you always wanted to write a Young Adult or Middle Grade Novel for Children, but have not carved out the time to get it done?  Do you have a draft of a novel written, but are looking for ideas and strategies to revise and strengthen it?  Would you like the chance to meet with an editor or an agent to pitch your novel and gain critical feedback about this novel in particular and the fiction market, in general?  All of this is possible if you attend Novel Secrets: A Novel Retreat in 3 Acts. Contact me at "NLSharpwriter" at "yahoo" dot "com" to learn how to register!

Act 1:   Sunday, April 18, 2010
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Act 1 is an introduction to the novel writing world for children.  Our mentors for this day's writing journey will be Jill Santopolo, an editor at Harper Collins and Stephen Barbara, an agent at the Foundry Literary + Media Agency.  Act 1 is open to anyone who wishes to attend, whether they already have a novel written or are just looking for that inspiration to begin.

Acts 2 & 3: Sunday, April 18 - Tuesday, April 120, 2010
7:00 p.m. Sunday - 1:00 p.m. Tuesday

Acts 2 and 3 of the Novel Secrets Workshop are presented in Retreat format, and are designed to provide the writer with both the time and the tools needed to revise a work-in-progress.  In order to attend Acts 2 and 3, the writer must have a middle-grade or YA novel written and they must attend Act 1 on Sunday, April 18th.

What others are saying about prior Novel Secret Retreats:

"I feel that through this retreat series I've learned the tools to take my writing to the next level.  I feel like a writer now, not just a writing enthusiast.  I have learned what I need to do with my writing to make it the best it can be.  It's actually very liberating and exhilarating."

"This series was a huge leap forward for me.  I loved every piece of instruction, and have been able to directly apply what I was taught into my own writing processes.  Working with a small critique group was fabulous, and the support system we've established will be beneficial for years to come."
